Welcome to River's Edge!                    Small. Intimate. Presence.

We're so glad you're visiting our site!

Did you know that 80-90% of the churches in America are under 100 people in attendance on Sunday mornings? We fall into that category and enjoy the small and intimate experience that comes from not being a face in the crowd. If you are more of a "small church" type of Christian who loves to know and be known by everyone in the church, give us a try. We love Jesus, we love His Word, and we love to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit in our worship.

Living for Breakthrough

Inheriting the Kingdom of God (heaven brought to earth now!) is our promised land. It comes at a price but the results of knowing God's loving kindness, and truly knowing His heart for you is priceless. The Jordan is parting, what are you going to do?

Quote of the week:

If...your soul cries out to God, for the living God, and your dry and empty heart despairs of living a normal Christian life...then I ask you: Is your desire all absorbing? Is it the biggest thing in your life? ...If your heart cries, "Yes" to the questions you may be on your way to spiritual breakthrough that will transform your whole life.  --A.W. Tozer

Like a diamond, we are of great value to God. He created us to have friendship with Him. But why does God seem so unreal and far away?

It is because we are broken diamonds. Our brokenness makes us sin and separates us from God. God is light and our sins cannot abide in his light. That's why God feels distant. He can't mix with our sins.

2,000 years ago, God did something about our separation from Him. He took all the sins we have committed and placed them in the hands of Jesus who took the rap for our wrong-doing. The blood Jesus shed on the cross cleared away all our sins.

If we accept what Jesus did for us, the barrier is removed and we can take his hand in friendship. Would you like to receive an eternal life of friendship with God?
