Stream Teams

Our Stream Teams are our small groups where God's Word, prayer, fellowship, and the breaking of bread is shared in a sweet atmosphere of community (Acts 2:42). Our heart is to make sure that no one is invisible in our church. The leadership team alone cannot effectively shepherd everyone in a one-on-one fashion, but we can create and cultivate an environment of small groups that are led by people with shepherds hearts, and Stream Teams that are filled with loving, compassionate members who will go to the mat for you in your faith-walk through life. These Stream Teams provide opportunities to grow in your spiritual callings and gifts, develop prophetic praying, operate in the gifts of the Spirit, practice love and hospitality, and experience a safe and confidential place to share challenges, faults, and victories with one another so that there might be praise, prayer and deliverance. It is a place to be loved, equipped, enjoy food and fellowship, and establish friendships for life. The goal for our Stream Teams is to culitvate and reproduce more leaders as undershepherds to work alongside the pastoral staff so as to love and care for all the members of River's Edge. These Stream Team Leaders are not elders in a governing role, but they are care-givers who have demonstrated the heart of a shepherd to love, protect, and minister to God's people so that no one walks alone outside of the safety of the fold. We believe these Stream Teams will serve to strengthen and fulfill our four pillars of:

1) Intimacy with God
2) Community with each other.
3) Discovering our Identity in Christ.
4) Fulfilling our Destiny in God's kingdom.

We encourage newcomers to our church to attend our "New Members Class" where you can learn more about our church and the stream teams. The New Members Class is hosted at Pastor Jay & Roseann's house for four sessions and a fifth and final session will be hosted at Pastor Kris &  Lori's house who oversee our Stream Team Leaders and Ministry. After this class, our new members will be set in the church as new members and helped to discover the options of Stream Teams that will be best suited for them [as the Holy Spirit leads and directs].
